Great saddle by Newbie75, 18 January 2015, 16 out of 16 people found this review helpful I spent long hours researching the saddle market. Primary reason being, the stock saddle with my Scott Genius 730 2015 (from Syncros) was a disaster. I looked into Selle Italia, got impressed by the way the saddles look and the general reviews of the brand. Saddle is a personal thing, might be risky to order online, so I was looking for product with 90%+ positive reviews. My original idea was to order the gel SLR. But then by accident saw one SLR in the LBS and the actual size of it. While the SLR looks sleek, it’s far too small than I anticipated. It’s alright for a roadie but not sure about Enduro MTB. Looked for something bigger and the C2 was pretty much in the balpark. Some pictures in the net convinced me I’m on right track. Design is awesome, materials are premium, the features I was looking for are available and last but not least the price is reasonable. Enter C2. It’s a piece of art! Looks and feels even better than 100 pictures can show. No matter from where you look at it, is just awesome. The installation was breeze (fit nicely on my Rockshox Reverb). The comfort and feel of the saddle while riding roads, trails etc is great. My bottom is on the bony side and yet, the gel inserts and the shape of the saddle does not give hot-spots. After couple of technical rides I came to the point of forgetting about by painful experience with the OEM Syncros TR1.5. I am not sure about the break in time, but at this point I’ve clocked about 200 trail km on the saddle and I don’t even notice it anymore, I guess that’s the whole point. Perhaps some recently upgraded items also do help experience more comfortable ride on top of the good saddle. Tubeless (makes the ride really smooth greatly reducing the small vibration), full sus (smooths the nasty bumps), MTB shorts with insert (helps with sorting bone hot-spots)… Pros: premium look and feel comfort good sizing for mtb I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
