Quality item by Anonymous, 15 March 2012, 8 out of 8 people found this review helpful IÛªve just fitted a front set of these to replace the Tektro ones that came as standard on my Specialized Secteur. Whilst the TektroÛªs provided adequate braking under normal circumstances, they didnÛªt give me confidence that theyÛªd stop me quickly in an emergency. I considered buying new pads but for around å£20 more I could buy this entire brake unit. IÛªm pleased I took this direction as the new brakes are much sharper. The arm where the cable outer terminates is quite a bit longer than my originals. This delivers better mechanical advantage at the cost of increased travel in the brake lever. Consequently, take care when fitting to ensure maximum brake force can be achieved without the lever hitting the bars. Also treat yourself to some new cable end-caps as youÛªll need to remove the existing one to fit the unit. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

They are durable, highly responsive, provide great stopping power, and will give you a feeling of confidence and safety when you cycle in any conditions. The brake pads are very durable and easily replaced. As with all Shimano brakes they are highly adjustable. Don’t hesitate to purchase these brakes for they will not disappoint. Highly recommended.
