Good cranks while they last by maxc232, 11 April 2017, 1 out of 23 people found this review helpful Had these on my bike for around a year and a half before they decided to snap in half. Not sure if it was a faulty bottom bracket or if it was crank itself that was the problem. I only use Shimano products and this is the only time they have ever failed me. They are good value for money so they’ve got that running for them but there is certainly a quality compromise. I would highly recommend going for an XT or SLX spec crank over these. Having used both XT and Deore i can tell you that the slightly more expensive cranks are worth it. They are exponentially stiffer and last a lot longer. Pros: good if you enjoy long walks home Cons: bad for if you want long lasting cranks. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
