Gives greater mud clearance than traditional front mechs. by MiketheBike, 1 October 2016, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful Easy to fit once the cable run has been sorted from the lever. Adjustment was almost spot on out of the packet. Very noticeable improvement in mud clearance for those who still need multiple chainwheels. Mech. adjustment screws look vulnerable to mud/water ingress. Suggest a smear of grease over the top once adjusted. Changes to easily. by rhss, 5 July 2017 I converted my MTB from a 8 to a 10 speed system, as I had to replace the complete drive-chain I thought I would replace the top-pull front mech with the new side-pull mech. It’s so much better; the benifits are 3 fold; less thumb effort to change, easier to set-up, and finally the mechanism get less covered in rear-wheel muck as the mechanism now doesn’t sit directly infount of the wheel. Pros: more efficient. easy setup. less exposed to mud Cons: none I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
