Universal cable-brake lever by Anonymous, 15 March 2013, 20 out of 22 people found this review helpful CRC’s description of this brake lever sells it short. The lever incorporates a “Mode adjustment” which enables it to be set for V-brakes/mechanical disc brakes in one setting or for Calliper/Cantilever/Roller/Hub brakes in its other setting. Swapping between the two is simple. It means you could have different brake types front and rear, but still have matching brake levers. It’s a universal brake lever for cable-operated brakes. Ultegra level (ie at the high end of Shimano’s product range) at a very affordable price! I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Nice levers by mrdaniel7, 14 January 2015, 7 out of 7 people found this review helpful The barrel adjuster “bolt” part on these levers is metal (one review said plastic). It is only the screw on “washer” part that is plastic. These are high quality levers and seem about the best option for flat bar road bikes that need a “road brake pull” lever. Looking at the settings on the lever shows you road brakes need more leverage than V-brakes and thus, it is not safe using normal MTB brake levers on these setups. I talk from experience going down a 9% hill in the rain 😉 It can get confusing when they all look the same. Even these R780 levers have the exact same “2 finger” brake lever as MTB levers, metal is cut out exactly the same etc. Not a bargain… but certainly not too expensive. I would say these are worth the money. CRC was the cheapest again. Pros: high end equipment affordable cable pull options Cons: none I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
