Great kit for the money by Arch13, 4 May 2017, 11 out of 12 people found this review helpful I absolutely love making the switch to 1×10, just one word of caution: ensure you select a rear shifter as for some reason you can pick a front shifter which will be absolutely useless in a 1×10 setup. Also nobody noticed this and just sent out the components I specified so I had to arrange a return which could have easily been avoided. I chose this as an upgrade for my old worn out 3×8 drivetrain and am loving the snappy easy gear changes and the bike feels a lot lighter after the switch. I even found my climbing speeds improved afterward despite losing a little gear ratio range. I went with raceface narrow-wide 36t up front and an e-thirteen 42t range extender and the cheapest of all the shimano components for everything else. This feels perfect for me (semi fit, recreational cyclist in their late 20s who weighs around 78kg). Hope this helps with all the options and choosing what will work for you. Pros: great value snappy efficient gear changes makes the bike feel a lot lighter Cons: watch out for redundant selection options I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Great product and great price by bolzillo, 29 April 2017, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful So far so good. I have only tested it once but I am confident this upgrade will last long. One thing that should be taken into account is that the chainring does not come with bolts at all. I spent a few days trying to find some but I finally did at a local bike shop nearby my place.
