XT crankset M8000 by Oolibru, 17 June 2016, 7 out of 7 people found this review helpful Deceptively light considering its appearance, the m8000 crankset is sturdy and well made, it comes complete with the four chain ring torx bolts (so if you haven’t got the torx wrenches you’d better grab some whilst you’re here), it does not come with a bottom bracket, the bolt circle is a different configuration from most other cranksets so bear this in mind when eyeing up required chain rings, overall i found this item likeable and I am more than happy with the job it does and how easy it was to fit. I paired this item up with a Shimano XT MT800 bottom bracket, works very well indeed. Pros: light well designed well manufactured Cons: expensive I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
great looks and quality by acetil, 25 May 2016, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful Bought the XT Crankset as a replacement for my old SLX. The first thing that I noticed was that Shimano did away with those annoying flat head bolts that held the chainring. Now it looks great, even better than the XTR. The paint does not come off, and I ride very rocky trails. But it really does not matter since it is made for MTB. I run a 1×10 11-42, and not a problem with the chainline, I can backpedal on the 42 all day and the chain will not drop. The only surprise was the extra holes for the granny ring. As long as they keep the price down Shimano can put holes in the crank arms for all I care. Pros: looksprice I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
