Beat my expectations for a “value” shifter. by Michael0987, 1 January 2016, 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful I needed a set of shifters to replace the ones I stole off my back up bike, but did not want to invest big for a bike that is rarely ridden. I figured a set of X9 shifters would do the trick. After looking around and seeing this was ultimately going to be the replacement for x7/x9 in the Sram range – I was skeptical it was cheaper than X9. Ordered them anyway simply based on price and minimal need. Once they arrived and I installed them, I was pleasantly surprised by quality feedback in the shift. The ratchet system is precise and you feel the engagement. I took the bike out for a quick spin and was impressed that what I expected to be a sloppy shifter was actually quite nice. NO – it is not top of the line nice, however the bang for the buck makes it a pretty good option. Pros: inexpensive positive feel I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
