Here are just a couple of interesting reviews that we picked out from verified customers:

Excellent even if costly by jevens, 21 June 2018, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful I previously had SRAM Rival on my Planet X RT80, and I was finding the shifting really sporadic and very tricky to dial in, which would then stop being right after another few rides. Dropped chains in and outboard were regular despite having a chaincatcher. Fortunate enough to have some money saved up, I decided to jump on the eTap hype having read countless reviews and already having the SRAM kit on the bike – after all, I can move this kit to a new frame if and when I decide I need to. I am relatively heavy @ 84kgs so needed the Wifli medium cage version so that I would still be able to climb hills. The installation process is pretty easy, I’m not a mechanic, but I was able to install. NOTE: the medium cage rear derailleur installation is slightly different to the short cage – in that the order you do the B-tension and chain installation is reversed for this. I found that the SRAM youtube video for this specific derailleur was really useful. GCN/Road CC videos only cover the short cage version so doesn’t quite get it right. The rest of the setup is simple, and having ridden a couple of times the ability to trim on-bike during the ride and dial in the shifting is really useful. Charge time for the batteries was good, roughly 45 mins per battery from flat. The charger can be run from any micro usb cable. The included brake cables are excellent SRAM Red quality, but most of my time on this installation was spent trying to fish the rear brake cable through my frame – I stupidly pulled the old brake cables out before putting a sheath over them to feed the new ones in. Not a mistake I’ll make again. Shifting is a touch slower than I had expected but this may improve as I continue to tune the setup, and it’s plenty quick enough for my kind of riding. Much more immediate than the constant clicking of the double tap mechanical I had on there before. The shifters themselves are satisfying to click, and the left for easier/right for harder set up is really natural after 5 minutes. The hoods are slightly smaller in diameter when gripping them. This is neither a positive or negative in my eyes, but I like the feel of them. Pros: easy to install and set up works with my existing sram rival kit smooth shifting quiet easy to tweak intuitive shifting Cons: expensive I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

Faultless function and design. by LORDT, 23 October 2017, 2 out of 4 people found this review helpful Upgrading my Specialized Roubaix SL4 from standard Ultegra to Sram RED Etap has been revolutionary. Absolutely no problem acclimatising to the seamless, smooth, silent gear changes. It’s obviously unfair to compare the past with the future. Suffice to say; the positive click when tapping the gear lever is your only clue you have changed gear other than the difference in turning your pedals. Whisper smooth operation, even under pressure whilst climbing. I run it with the Sram Red GXP BB compact crank set, 11-32T cassette and Sram chain. Feels like I have a new bike. Time to take to the hills! Brilliant service from Eric in customer service. Thank you! Pros: life changing I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
