Solid groupset easy to set up by Simon29er, 18 November 2015, 10 out of 10 people found this review helpful This is the groupset for someone who wants good performance, reasonable weight, for a fair price. I am just a fitness cyclist and I can well imagine that racers may want to go up a notch to Force or even Red. Having used the groupset in a variety of conditions, I can recommend it for light touring or audax events where comfort and reliability are perhaps more important than speed. The attraction of SRAM lies in the Wifli option which, when combined a medium cage derailleur and compact chainrings, means that you can do without a triple chain ring. SRAM claims that there are more useable gears and I have occasionally tested out the extremes and it works — even if years of cycling have left me rather paranoid about chain line issues. The front d̩railleur works a treat and, contrary to warnings, the Yaw mechanism was easy to set up provided that you follow the clear instructions. Shifting is smooth and predictable (front and rear) and the levers are ergonomically comfortable and easy to use (for admittedly big hands). I couldn’t justify the money for Force (almost double), wanted a change from Shimano, could not stand the front derailleur on Apex, never liked the Campag shifters right under where my thumb wanted to go — so overall, a good option. Mix and match possibilities are also an option with SRAM but the groupset as a whole is well thought through, works and offers the best value. The only niggles are the cables supplied with the group set; I’ll use them until they wear out, but I suspect that some good after-market cables could improve shifting performance. Heavier riders (mea culpa) may also want to consider upgrading the brake pads to Swiss Stop or equivalent, for more feel and confidence. Pros: solid reliable and can be found for a good price wifli and no more triples Cons: ok cables but consider upgrading brake pads could inspire more confidence I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

Ottimo prodotto by paolo911, 7 April 2016 Se non fosse per la differenza di peso si potrebbe scambiare per un Red. Ottimo prodotto in relazione al prezzo. Pros: prezzo Cons: peso I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
