Nothing is 100% puncture proof but STANS rocks!!! by ankewdude, 5 September 2014, 15 out of 15 people found this review helpful This is a must to have addition for my MTB. We ride on thorn infested trails and these thorns go upto 3-4 cm in length and 2-4 mm thick. Haven’t come across a better anti puncture solution. Good kit – (almost) everything you need… by DrEndoBars, 14 September 2016, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Good kit, however at the price would be good to include a core removal tool for easy inflation post fitting. Also the bottle contains plenty of sealant for a number of uses and tries including 29ers. 100% recommend reviewing the GMBN how to video on fitting tubeless tyres as this is a huge help and an excellent guide. Recommend try fitting and inflating before adding sealant as a test run first. Biggest problem for me was tyre inflation post fitting as it was a nightmare to get the tyre seated correctly on the rim to inflate. That will be down to my choice of tyre / rim and also using a cheap low volume track pump. One very useful tool I’ve found that helped the re-inflation is (sadly not stocked by CRC) is an air shot which is a small tank that you pump up with your track pump then release the stored air into your tyre with a single shot. Much lower cost than a compressor plus, and also way lower cost than the newer track pumps with built in air tank (works same way) and you can re-use your existing track pump. Also in the medium / longer term works out lower cost than CO2 especially if you are like me and are wear out your tyres from use and switch to mud tyres for winter etc. over the course of the year Pros: plenty of sealent included for multiple uses rim strip fits perfect Cons: could do with a core removal tool including I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
