Not living up to the hype by gam13, 31 August 2017 I have had SwissStop brake pads in other brakes before, I used the sintered ones in my Avid X.7 brakes, I had them in my Formula brakes – the last time I got organic ones for my SRAM XX. First off – they are not bad – but: they are not “SwissStop is so awesome”-ish either, I found them to be sub-par with the Kool Stop pads I was running before and they seem to wear faster. I am a big guy so they have to work more and I found that the SwissStop organics are just not as good as other pads including the SRAM ones that came with the brake. I would not specifically recommend them, neither would I discourage someone from buying them unless he or she is looking for that super SwissStop braking feeling that you read about in many reviews. They are – unfortunately – pretty average. Pros: even braking surface no rough edges Cons: fast wear I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
