Awesome by Anonymous, 14 October 2012, 9 out of 9 people found this review helpful Bought this to replace the chuck of my el cheapo bike bump after the lever broke meaning it wouldn’t make a tight seal around the tube valve. This chuck is super easy to use: push it on and pump away. There’s no lever to break and it’s made of solid brass so you can drop it without fear of damaging it. It can even be unclipped and moved to a new tube or pump so should last a lifetime. The only downside is you can injure yourself removing it the first time. Even after using the pressure release button it requires quite a lot of force to get it to disenguage. When you find that it’s not budging, you end up pulling harder and harder until your hand flies off with speed into the nearest surface, be it the floor or, in my case, the spoke of the wheel. No matter, once you’ve got the scar you soon learn proper removal technique: put your hand on the wheel and firmly push the chuck from the nozzle with your thumbs. Good Product by Peter36, 2 November 2015, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful As others have said, lack of instructions is a potential problem. In fact it is very easy to use but you don’t know that when you receive it. The reviews helped, simply push it on a Presta valve and release the pressure then push off with your thumbs on the chuck and fingers against the rim. For Schrader valves, screw the adaptor supplied onto the Schrader valve and then proceed as above. There is a non-return valve in the adaptor which stops the air escaping from the tyre when just the adaptor is fitted.. Did not understand the review comment about fitting a spring.
