My second Topeak Tourist rack. Very happy by , 18 April 2017, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful I missed my first Topeak Super Tourist rack after I sold it with my previous bike. I am sure the new owner has had as many years of loyal service from it as I have. I purchased this new one to attach to my 29er MTB and have since used it to carry two heavy panniers and trunk bag in an overnight off-road bike trek. I am planning to use it on a 400 km offroad bike trek on horse and rail trails in South East Queensland and I have no doubt that it will make it just fine. Oh the bike I have it attached to is an 2012 Avanti Montari 29.2. It clears drop-out-mounted disc brakes just fine. No mods were required – it fit out of the box. Although it does not sit quite straight. It actually seems like that is due to where the mountain points are drilled on the bike (which is odd) and not the fault of the rack. It appears absolutely straight when off the bike. Pros: value quality I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Robust, well made but slightly pricey. by Jonny116, 26 August 2016, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful A very well made rack, good first impressions BUT I didnt use it as it was slighty oversized for my bike. I have a disc break cyclocross bike and this offered too much clearance, in the end I opted for the Tour Tec Rear Pannier as it was cheaper, lighter, better fitting and did the job just fine. I would say that this rack is better suited for very wide bikes such as mountain bikes or people that want alot of clearance between the rack and their bike. In summary, a great rack, just not suited to my bike (a Focus Mares AX 2016 if that helps anybody). Pros: well made looks great in real life adjustable height Cons: very wide a bit heavy I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
